Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients and healthcare professionals by assisting with daily care activities and ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, while promoting their dignity and independence.
  • Help patients with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting and positioning techniques to prevent injury and ensure safety.
  • Perform routine patient observations, including vital signs measurement, intake and output monitoring, and reporting any changes or concerns to nursing staff.
  • Assist nurses and healthcare professionals with clinical procedures, treatments, and examinations as directed, following established protocols and infection control practices.
  • Escort patients to diagnostic tests, procedures, and therapy sessions, providing emotional support and reassurance throughout the process.
  • Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring accurate documentation and timely communication with the healthcare team.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, ensuring proper hygiene, sanitation, and infection control measures are followed.
  • Stock and maintain supplies and equipment in patient care areas, ensuring availability and readiness for use.
  • Provide assistance with clerical tasks, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and organizing medical records, as needed.

Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance job knowledge and performance.
